SAN FRANCISCO, CA –Today, the Office of Assessor-Recorder kicks off the annual digital Family Wealth Series, a 3-part webinar series in collaboration with the office’s Racial Equity Core Team (RECT) and the nonprofit organization, Housing and Economic Rights Advocates. Please join Assessor-Recorder Joaquín Torres to learn about homeowner resources every Tuesday in July at noon on Zoom.  

“These forums serve as a bridge to connect you to the experts, provide you with financial health resources, and answer your questions regarding complex financial topics related to homeownership,” said Assessor-Recorder Joaquín Torres.  

Attendees will learn how to secure a fair appraisal, ways to strengthen Homeowners Associations (HOAs), and foreclosure prevention strategies. The goal of these webinars is to provide San Franciscans with education and highlight existing resources to strengthen homeownership among low-to-moderate income families. The webinar schedule is as follows: 

  • Tuesday, July 12 – Secure a Fair Appraisal
  • Tuesday, July 19 – Understanding Homeowners Associations
  • Tuesday, July 26 – Foreclosure Prevention
