The data sets listed below include the Office of the Assessor-Recorder’s secured property tax roll spanning fiscal years 2007-2008 to 2022-2023 (organized by fiscal year, which is July 1 through June 30). It includes all legally disclosable information, including location of property, value of property, the unique property identifier, and specific property characteristics. Included in this document are several "data keys" to help identify specific codes within the main data set. The data keys are identified on separate tabs of the document. The data is used to accurately and fairly appraise all taxable property in the City and County of San Francisco.

The Office of the Assessor-Recorder makes no representation or warranty that the information provided is accurate and/or has no errors or omissions. In addition, please note that the following fields are truncated in the datasets:

Class code – truncated from 4 to 3 characters (e.g. VPUB becomes VPU, FS15 becomes FS1)
Lot depth – truncated to 3-4 characters (e.g. 25,500.00 becomes 00.00, 128.500 becomes 28.5)
Lot frontage – truncated to 3-4 characters (e.g. 100,550.000 becomes 50.00, 108.667 becomes 8.66)
Construction Type – truncated to 3 characters (e.g. WOOD FRAME becomes WOO, ROW HOME becomes ROW)
Current Sales Date - truncated to 5-6 characters (e.g. October 1, 2004 becomes 41001)
