As of Monday, April 29, the Office of the Assessor-Recorder has a new main office phone number, 628-652-8100. For the 12 months following this transition, constituents who call the Office’s prior phone number will automatically be transferred to our new line. Marriage Certificate Request

The Office of the Assessor-Recorder maintains all public marriage licenses issued in the City and County of San Francisco. There are several ways you can obtain a copy of your marriage certificate.  After clicking on “Download form”, you can download, print, and turn in the form in-person with a valid photo ID at our main office between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM. You can also download, complete, and have your application notarized and mailed to our main office or dropped off in our drop box located outside City Hall at 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place (the box is in the window at the Grove Street entrance).
