CA STATEWIDE 90-DAY MORTGAGE PAYMENT RELIEF

SAN FRANCISCO, CA --- On March 25, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that over 200 financial institutions, including Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo and state-chartered banks, credit unions, and servicers, will provide homeowners with a 90-day grace period to make mortgage payments.

“There is no question that the coronavirus is affecting everyone. Whole sectors of our economy have shutdown to slow the spread of COVID-19 and with that comes severe financial hardships for Americans.  This is the right thing to do - the last thing we want to see is our neighbors being foreclosed upon during this time of duress.  At minimum, a 90-day forbearance on mortgage payments will provide immediate relief to homeowners so they can stay in their homes.”
