Assessor Chu Celebrates Women's Equality at 100th Anniversary
CELEBRATE 2020 WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY TOMORROW AT 12PM
Featuring Assessor Carmen Chu and Mayor London Breed in a virtual conversation on women leadership, racial equity and voting power
2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, extending the right to vote to women. However, equal voting rights were not granted for all women, the ongoing fight to vote continues today. We celebrated this milestone and continuing the efforts to encourage women to vote by launching the W Challenge 2020 together! This year, the W Challenge will lead a 10-week social media campaign to recognize 100 women leaders from the past 100 years to mark the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Highlight these 100 women leaders from the past 100 years on your social media platforms to uplift their stories and inspire the other women to take action. Learn more at WChallenge.org/100Women
