Our office will be closed Wednesday, June 19, for the Juneteenth holiday.

On Monday, April 29, the Office of the Assessor-Recorder will transition to a new main office phone number, 628-652-8100. For the 12 months following this transition, constituents who call the Office’s prior phone number will automatically be transferred to our new line. As part of this transition, the Office is instituting key upgrades to improve the experience that San Franciscans have when calling us. To learn more, click here.

**STATEMENT**

Today, Mayor London Breed and Board of Supervisor President Norman Yee announce the creation of the COVID-19 Economic Recovery Task Force. The Task Force is charged with guiding the City’s efforts to sustain and recover local businesses and employment, mitigate the economic hardships that are already affecting the most vulnerable San Franciscans.

Assessor Carmen Chu is tasked to co-chair the Economic Recovery Task Force. She issued the following statement:

“The public health crisis is far from over but we already know the economic toll has been devastating. I’ve seen our City recover through the Dot Com bust and the Great Recession but this is at a scale most of us haven’t seen before. It’s frightening. That’s why we all need to roll up our sleeves now to help our workers and our families get back up on their feet.”
