As of Monday, April 29, the Office of the Assessor-Recorder has a new main office phone number, 628-652-8100. For the 12 months following this transition, constituents who call the Office’s prior phone number will automatically be transferred to our new line. As part of this transition, the Office is instituting key upgrades to improve the experience that San Franciscans have when calling us. To learn more, click here.

It is the owner’s responsibility to report a change of mailing address.  Please click on the Download form below to print out a change of mailing address application.

You can mail the request in using the address listed at the bottom of the form. You can also drop off the form in the drop box located outside City Hall at 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place (the box is in the window at the Grove Street entrance). The drop box is checked daily and requests are taken directly back to Assessor-Recorder staff to process Monday – Friday 8 AM – 2 PM (last pick-up).
